About Us

The Hanover Newcomers Club was established in 1967 and was originally known as the Welcome Wagon Newcomers Club of Hanover. The mission of the club was to help new residents learn about Hanover, develop friendships and take an active interest in the social and civic aspects of the town. Today the club continues with that same mission, but now is open to all Hanover residents, new and settled, who want to get to know their town and meet more neighbors. Currently, the club has 90-plus members. The board works to plan a variety of events throughout the year including social nights, fundraisers, community service activities, family events and more. Money raised by the club goes to support local groups such as Hanover Schools, churches, the Visiting Nurses Association and the Hanover Food Pantry to name a fewTo join the Hanover Newcomers Club or learn more about us contact a Member of the Membership Committee: Joanna McCormick at joanna_mccormick@comcast.net or Chrissy Heyl at cnjheyl@yahoo.com or contact our President, Joanna Dyer at joannaslp@yahoo.com.
