President’s Note
March was a terrific month for the club, the highlight being our Annual St. Patrick’s Day luncheon for the Seniors. First, I want to thank Sheila Callow for organizing the event and for all her hard work coordinating. Also, I want to thank all our bakers and the volunteers who set up, served and cleaned up at the event. Namely: Sheila Callow, Amanda Light, Toni DeWitt, Jackie Fellini, Stephanie Gertz, Kerri Richards, Nicki Disch, Melissa Trulby, Diane Ditullio, Stephanie Fortuna, Chrissy Heyl, Stephanie O’Brien, Elizabeth Robey, Beth Solari, Lynn Neville, Amy Coffey, Erin McAvay, Erin Schiller, Vicki Wilson and Suzanne Cataldo. Hopefully I have not missed anyone, if I have, I thank you too! The St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon is a great tradition for our club and the Seniors truly enjoy it. I have received several letters of thanks so please know our efforts were much appreciated. I cannot believe it is already Spring and there are only 2 months left of activities for this club year. It has been a lot of fun so far and we have some great events to look forward to. Membership will be organizing our May General Meeting to be held at the Sky Spa in Hanover. The Block Party is coming in May and our always enjoyable Year End Dinner and Playgroup Party will be held in June. We are also in the process of forming our Board for next year. There are still some openings on our board and we need you to fill them! The open positions are noted later in this newsletter with a description of the responsibilities. Being on the Board is a great way to learn more about the terrific things this club does and get to know other members of the club better. We are always looking for fresh ideas to make this club better so I encourage all members to think about how you may be able to help make next year a great one for the club. If you have any questions about any of the positions please ask. I am happy to answer them and welcome your interest. Joanna joanna_mccormick@comcast.net |
